    152. In case No. 1761/2008 (Giri et al. v. Nepal), the Committee recalled its general comment No. 20 (1992), in which it indicated that it did not consider it necessary to draw up a list of prohibited acts or to establish sharp distinctions between the different kinds of punishment or treatment; and that the distinctions depended on the nature, purpose and severity of the treatment applied.
