12. The management evaluation process plays a very important role in the formal system of administration of justice in resolving disputes by conducting an objective evaluation of contested administrative decisions to assess whether the decision was made in accordance with rules and regulations.
12 - تؤدي عملية التقييم الإداري دورا هاما جدا في النظام الرسمي لإقامة العدل في تسوية المنازعات عن طريق إجراء تقييم موضوعي للقرارات الإدارية المطعون فيها لتحديد ما إذا كان القرار قد اتُّخذ وفقا للقواعد والأنظمة.

(أ) مواصلة تنفيذ المشروع التجريبي لمجلس استعراض منح العقود بغية استعراض الطعون المتصلة بالمشتريات المقدمة من الموردين الذين لم يحصلوا على عقد، وإجراء تقييمات إدارية فورية للقرارات الإدارية المطعون فيها لمعرفة ما إذا كانت تمتثل للأنظمة والقواعد والسياسات المعمول بها في المنظمة؛

This process appears to be having a positive impact on accountability, as the percentage of contested administrative decisions that were upheld by management evaluation reviews increased from 63 per cent in 2009, when 49 of 78 contested decisions were upheld, to 93 per cent in 2011, when 168 of 180 contested decisions were upheld.

During the proposed budget period the Unit will conduct prompt management evaluations of contested administrative decisions to determine whether they comply with the Organization's applicable regulations, rules and policies, and to assist the Under-Secretary-General for Management to provide the individual requesting the review with a written, reasoned response regarding the outcome of the management evaluation.
