Furthermore, the Department has provided substantive and administrative support to the Special Representative of the Secretary-General for Migration, has assumed a lead role in supporting the General Assembly's emphasis on eliminating violence against women and is servicing the Conference of States Parties to the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.

14. Calls on parties involved in armed conflict to abide by the concrete commitments they have made to the Special Representative of the Secretary-General for Children and Armed Conflict and to cooperate fully with the United Nations system in the implementation of their commitments;

Expresses its strong support for the good-offices mission and commitment of the Secretary-General, and encourages the Government of Myanmar to take early steps to admit his Special Representative on Myanmar, Ibrahim Gambari, to facilitate a genuine and inclusive political process, and calls on the Government of Myanmar to ensure full cooperation with the Secretary-General, his representative and the Special Rapporteur;
