" 4. Every State involved in the international transboundary movement of Radioactive Waste should take the appropriate steps necessary to ensure that such movement is undertaken in a manner consistent with international safety standards;

States parties also expressed support for the effective implementation of the Code of Practice on the International Transboundary Movement of Radioactive Waste of IAEA as a means of enhancing the protection of all States from the dumping of radioactive wastes on their territories.

As a means of enhancing the protection of all States against the dumping of radioactive wastes on their territories, the Group also calls for the effective implementation of the International Atomic Energy Agency Code of Practice on the International Transboundary Movement of Radioactive Waste.
كما تطالب المجموعة بالتنفيذ الفعال لمدونة قواعد الممارسات المتعلقة بالحركة الدولية للنفايات المشعة عبر الحدود التي وضعتها الوكالة الدولية للطاقة الذرية، باعتباره وسلة لتعزيز حماية جميع الدول من إلقاء النفايات المشعة في أراضيها.

The Group of Experts decided that the Code of Practice " should serve as guidelines to States for, inter alia, the development and harmonization of policies and laws on the international transboundary movement of Radioactive Waste " .

The adoption by consensus of IAEA's Code of Practice on the International Transboundary Movement of Radioactive Waste in 1990 underscores the political commitment of States to prevent any unauthorized transboundary movement of Radioactive Waste.
١٢٥ - إن اعتماد مدونة الوكالة الدولية للطاقة الذرية لقواعد الممارسات المتعلقة بحركة النفايات المشعة عبر الحدود الدولية في عام ١٩٩٠ بتوافق اﻵراء يؤكد التزام الدول السياسي بمنع أية حركة للنفايات المشعة عبر الحدود دون ترخيص.

7 - تعرب عن الأمل في أن يؤدي التنفيذ الفعال لمدونة قواعد ممارسات الوكالة الدولية للطاقة الذرية المتعلقة بالحركة الدولية للنفايات المشعة عبر الحدود ، إلى زيادة حماية جميع الدول من إلقاء النفايات المشعة في أراضيها؛

" Bearing in mind, in this regard, the Code of Practice on the International Transboundary Movement of Radioactive Waste, adopted on 21 September 1990 by the General Conference of the International Atomic Energy Agency, and the importance of updating the Code to bring it into line with the related developments since its adoption,

وإلى جانب التأكيد على ضرورة اتخاذ التدابير اللازمة لمنع إلقاء النفايات النووية أو المشعة، تدعو المجموعة إلى التنفيذ الفعّال لمدونة الممارسات الفضلى في مجال النقل الدولي للنفايات المشعة عبر الحدود التي وضعتها الوكالة لتنظيم حركة النفايات المشعة عبر الحدود الدولية كوسيلة لتعزيز حماية جميع الدول من دفن النفايات المشعة في أراضيها.
