The secretariat has the honour to circulate, in the annex to the present note, a thought-starter on possible guidelines for the identification of new activities for inclusion in the Global Plan of Action of the Strategic Approach.

(c) The secretariat would post proposals received on the Strategic Approach website inviting comments from other stakeholders.

1. The present document sets out a global plan of action containing " concrete measures " to be taken by stakeholders in order to fulfil the commitments expressed in the high-level declaration and overarching policy strategy of the Strategic Approach to International Chemicals Management.

Recalling also that the Overarching Policy Strategy of the Strategic Approach flows from the commitments expressed in the Dubai Declaration on International Chemicals Management developed in the context of the Rio Declaration, Agenda 21 and the Johannesburg Plan of Implementation, and considering the progress already achieved in the implementation of the Strategic Approach,
وإذ يُذكر أيضاً بأن الاستراتيجية الجامعة للسياسات للنهج الإستراتيجي تنبثق عن الالتزامات التي تم الإعراب عنها في إعلان دبي بشأن الإدارة الدولية للمواد الكيميائية التي طُوِرت في إطار إعلان ريو، وجدول أعمال القرن 21، وخطة تنفيذ جوهانسبرغ، مع الأخذ في الاعتبار التقدم الذي تحقق بالفعل في تطوير النهج الاستراتيجي،

Bearing in mind also decision 22/4 of the Governing Council of the United Nations Environment Programme, in which the Governing Council called for the Strategic Approach to be regularly reviewed to assess progress on chemical safety, in the light of the targets set at the World Summit on Sustainable Development in cooperation with other relevant processes,
