36. At its fifty-ninth session, the Committee referred to the Working Group on article 40 the question of developing a mechanism to follow up on its concluding observations on State reports.
٣٦ - وفي الدورة التاسعة والخمسين، أحالت اللجنة إلى الفريق العامل المعني بالمادة ٤٠ مسألة وضع آلية لمتابعة ملاحظاتها الختامية على تقارير الدول.

For its consideration of this item the Committee had before it General Assembly resolution 61/148 of 19 December 2006 in which the Assembly, inter alia, welcomed measures taken by the Committee to follow up on its concluding observations and recommendations, such as the decision to appoint a follow-up coordinator and to adopt guidelines on the follow-up.
وقد عرض على اللجنة، لأغراض نظرها في هذا البند، قرار الجمعية العامة 61/148 المؤرخ 19 كانون الأول/ديسمبر 2006، الذي رحبت فيه اللجنة، ضمن جملة أمور، بالتدابير التي اتخذتها اللجنة لمتابعة ملاحظاتها الختامية وتوصياتها، من قبيل قرار تعيين منسق للمتابعة واعتماد مبادئ توجيهية للمتابعة.
