Building on that research, the Council further requested that OHCHR convene a workshop, based on the information gathered from the questionnaire, to further explore the role of prevention in the promotion and protection of human rights, and to present a summary of the workshop proceedings to the Council at its eighteenth session.

Also requests the Office of the High Commissioner to convene a workshop, within existing resources, based on the above-mentioned consultations, on the role of prevention in the promotion and protection of human rights, with a view to contributing to further discussion on the issue, and to present a summary of the workshop proceedings to the Council at its eighteenth session;
7- يطلب أيضاً إلى المفوضية أن تعقد، في حدود الموارد المتاحة، وعلى أساس المشاورات المذكورة أعلاه، حلقة عمل عن دور منع الانتهاكات في تعزيز حقوق الإنسان وحمايتها، بهدف الإسهام في مواصلة المناقشات حول هذه المسألة وتقديم موجز لمداولات حلقة العمل إلى المجلس في دورته الثامنة عشرة؛

(b) To convene a workshop, within existing resources, based on the above-mentioned consultations, on the role of prevention in the promotion and protection of human rights, with a view to contributing to further discussion on the issue, and to present a summary of the workshop proceedings to the Council at its eighteenth session.

In its resolution 14/5, the Human Rights Council requested OHCHR to convene a workshop on the role of prevention in the promotion and protection of human rights with a view to contributing to further discussion on the issue, and to present a summary of the workshop proceedings to the Council at its eighteenth session (A/HRC/18/24) (see also paragraph 44 below).
17- طلب مجلس حقوق الإنسان، في قراره 14/5، إلى المفوضية السامية لحقوق الإنسان أن تعقد حلقة عمل عن دور منع الانتهاكات في تعزيز حقوق الإنسان وحمايتها، بهدف الإسهام في مواصلة المناقشات حول هذه المسألة وأن تقدم موجزاً لمداولات حلقة العمل إلى المجلس في دورته الثامنة عشرة (A/HRC/18/24) (انظر أيضاً الفقرة 44 أدناه).

This document contains a short description of the proceedings of the workshop (section III), a summary of the discussions (section IV), and issues identified for further consideration (section V). The agenda of the workshop is included in the annex to this document.
