21. As a result of the streamlining of functions in the Unit, it is proposed to abolish one national staff post of Language Assistant since those functions can be performed by the remaining national staff.
21 - نتيجة لترشيد المهام في هذه الوحدة، يُقترح إلغاء وظيفة واحدة من فئة الموظفين الوطنيين لمساعد لغوي بما أنه من الممكن لبقية الموظفين الوطنيين القيام بتلك المهام.

The P-3 post would be established through the reassignment of an existing post of Transport Officer from the Transport Section, while the national General Service post would be established through the reassignment of an existing post of Language Assistant from the Sector Administrative Offices.

In the Personnel Section, it is proposed that 50 posts of Language Assistant (national General Service) be abolished, owing to the reduction in the authorized strength of military contingents.

235. The Secretary-General proposes to redeploy one Senior Political Affairs Officer position (P-5), one Language Assistant position (Local level) and one Administrative Assistant position (Local level) from the Office of Political Affairs in Baghdad to the Amman Office.
