2. According to its decision 2006/14, the Board decided that, prior to the convening of the joint meeting, the new Bureau should be selected, and therefore there will be a formal meeting of the Executive Board of UNDP, UNFPA and UNOPS, on Monday, 9 January 2012, from 11 a.m. to 12 noon in Conference Room 6 (NLB).

In view of the above, I would suggest that the Economic and Social Council, without reopening the consideration of the matter, take note of this technical error and agree to include the correct text of its decision 2000/218 in the final compilation of Council resolutions and decisions adopted in the year 2000.
وبالنظر إلى ما تقدم، أقترح أن يحيط المجلس علما بهذا الخطأ الفني، بدون إعادة فتح باب النظر في المسألة، وأن يوافق على إدراج النص الصحيح لمقرره 2000/218 في المجموعة النهائية للقرارات والمقررات التي اتخذها المجلس في سنة 2000.

It is also significant that 1995 marks the twentieth anniversary of the adoption by the UNDP Governing Council of its decision on new dimensions in technical cooperation, which called for the application of TCDC as a major technical cooperation modality in programmes and projects funded by the organization.

At its second session, the COP adopted decision 7/CP.2 on the development and transfer of technologies in which, inter alia, reaffirmed the full text of its decision 13/CP.1 agreed at its first session (FCCC/CP/1996/15/Add.1).
٠٣- اعتمد مؤتمر اﻷطراف في دورته الثانية المقرر ٧/م أ-٢ بشأن تطوير ونقل التكنولوجيات، الذي أكد فيه من جديد ضمن جملة أمور على النص الكامل لمقرره ٣١/م أ-١ الذي تمت الموافقة عليه في دورته اﻷولى FCCC/CP/1996/15/Add.1)(.

Unfortunately, for technical reasons originating in the Secretariat, the text that was before the Economic and Social Council at the time of adoption of its decision 2000/218 did not fully correspond to the final text of the recommendation as approved by the Commission on Human Rights and contained in paragraph 7 (c) of resolution 2000/9.
وللأسف، ولأسباب فنية ترجع إلى الأمانة العامة، فإن النص الذي عرض على المجلس الاقتصادي والاجتماعي إبان اتخاذه لمقرره 2000/218 لم يكن مطابقا تماما للنص النهائي للتوصية، بصيغتها المعتمدة من جانب لجنة حقوق الإنسان، والذي يرد في الفقرة 7 (ج) من القرار 2000/9.
