The report notes that in October 2005, the Lebanese Ministry of Justice launched draft measures to prevent and combat trafficking in persons, which " are designed essentially to support the mechanisms of the Penal Code in combating trafficking in persons in accordance with the spirit of the [United Nations Convention against Transnational Organized Crime] and [its] Protocols " (para. 56).
