15. The ISU provided advice to Hungary,Germany and Niger in acting upon the political commitments agreed to at the 12MSP concerning previously unknown mined areas.

As well since the 12MSP, Guinea-Bissau and South Sudan did not report the destruction of previously unknown stocks of anti-personnel mines.

14. The ISU provided advice to Niger on reporting as concerns a newly discovered mined area and what Niger intends to do to deal with this and did the same with Côte d'Ivoire as concerns previously unknown stockpiled anti-personnel mines.

26. Mr. Quartey (Ghana) said that the events of 11 September 2001, in which his country had lost nationals, had revealed the previously unknown existence of groups that were waiting in the shadows for an opportunity to commit acts which, in their eyes, were justified by the injustice of which they were the victims.

Also in the context of its consideration of the general status and operation of the Convention, the Meeting considered a report presented by Indonesia and Zambia, Co-Chairs of the Standing Committee on Mine Clearance, on " Proposed rational response to States Parties discovering previously unknown mined areas after deadlines have passed " , as contained in APLC/MSP.12/2012/7.
16- وفي سياق نظر الاجتماع أيضاً في وضع الاتفاقية وسير عملها بوجه عام، تم النظر في تقرير قدمته إندونيسيا وزامبيا، الرئيسان المشاركان للجنة الدائمة المعنية بإزالة الألغام بعنوان " استجابة رشيدة مقترحة للدول الأطراف التي تكتشف مناطق ملغومة لم تكن معروفة في السابق بعد انقضاء الآجال " ، على النحو الوارد في الوثيقة APLC/MSP.12/2012/7.
