Taking note of the first conclusions of the United Nations Advisory Mission sent to Mali by the Secretary-General to study the best way of curbing the illicit circulation of small arms and ensuring their collection,
وإذ تحيط علما بالاستنتاجات اﻷولية للبعثة الاستشارية لﻷمم المتحدة التي أوفدها اﻷمين العام الى مالي لبحث أسلم الطرق لوقف التداول غير المشروع لﻷسلحة الخفيفة والعمل على جمعها،

Taking note of the first conclusions of the United Nations Advisory Mission sent to Mali by the Secretary-General to study the best way of curbing the illicit circulation of small arms and ensuring their collection,
وإذ تحيط علما بالاستنتاجات اﻷولية للبعثة الاستشارية لﻷمم المتحدة التي أوفدها اﻷمين العام إلى مالي لبحث أسلم الطرق لوقف التداول غير المشروع لﻷسلحة الخفيفة والعمل على جمعها،

The purpose of this text is to assist States in curbing the illicit traffic in small arms and collecting them.
والهدف من هذا النص هو تقديم المساعدة الى الدول لوقف التداول غير المشروع لﻷسلحة الخفيفة وجمعها.

It is for all these reasons that my delegation supports the draft resolution introduced by Mali and requests other States to provide, as they have done at previous sessions, their full support of the draft resolution on assistance to States for curbing the illicit traffic in small arms and collecting them.

In its resolution 50/70 H, entitled " Assistance to States for curbing the illicit traffic in small arms and collecting them " , the General Assembly invited the international community to give appropriate support to the efforts made by the affected countries to suppress the illicit circulation of small arms, which is likely to hamper their development.
" ٩٤ - ودعت الجمعية العامة المجتمع الدولي، بقرارها ٥٠/٧٠ حاء المعنون " تقديم المساعدة إلى الدول لوقف التداول غير المشروع لﻷسلحة الخفيفة وجمعها " ، إلى تقديم دعم مناسب للجهود التي تبذلها البلدان المعنية من أجل القضاء على ظاهرة التداول غير المشروع لﻷسلحة الخفيفة التي من شأنها إعاقة التنمية فيها.

My delegation wishes to support draft resolution A/C.1/50/L.29: “Assistance to States for curbing the illicit traffic in small arms and collecting them”.

We also support draft resolution A/C.1/50/L.37, on measures to curb the illicit transfer and use of conventional arms, and draft resolution A/C.1/50/L.29, on assistance to States for curbing the illicit traffic in small arms and collecting them.

8. The Secretary-General will keep under review the issue of assistance to States in curbing the illicit traffic in small arms and collecting them, and will report on further developments.
٨ - وسيُبقي اﻷمين العام قيد الاستعراض مسألة تقديم المساعدة إلى الدول لوقف التداول غير المشروع لﻷسلحة الخفيفة وجمعها، ويقدم تقريرا عن التطورات اللاحقة.

It also invited the international community to support efforts made by the affected countries to suppress the illicit circulation of small arms which is likely to hamper their development.
ودعت أيضا المجتمع الدولي الى تقديم دعم مناسب للجهود التي تبذلها البلدان المعنية لوقف التداول غير المشروع لﻷسلحة الخفيفة الذي قد يعيق التنمية فيها.
