40. I am pleased to report to the Security Council that, at the conclusion of the National Dialogue, held in Doha from 16 to 21 May, in the aftermath of the bloody clashes in Lebanon, the Lebanese political leaders reaffirmed their commitment to the principles of the Lebanese Constitution and the Taif Agreement.
