11. Pursuant to paragraph 8 of Security Council resolution 932 (1994), the Secretariat prepared a report which was adopted by the Committee on 14 July 1994 and thereafter sent to the Security Council for appropriate action (S/1994/825).

6. With the proliferation of the challenges to global stability and security, it can be assumed that demands on the Security Council for more forceful action will continue to grow. In this, the guiding principles are those of Chapters VI and VII of the Charter.
٦ - ومع تكاثر التحديات التي تواجه الاستقرار واﻷمن العالميين، يمكن افتراض أن المطالب الموجهة إلى مجلس اﻷمن لاتخاذ المزيد من الاجراءات القائمة على القوة سوف تستمر في التزايد، والمبادئ الارشادية في هذا الصدد هي المبادئ الواردة في الفصلين السادس والسابع من الميثاق.

10. Entrusts the Committee established by resolution 748 (1992) with the task of examining possible requests for assistance under the provisions of Article 50 of the Charter of the United Nations and making recommendations to the President of the Security Council for appropriate action;

26. By its resolution 669 (1990) of 24 September 1990, the Security Council entrusted its Committee established by resolution 661 (1990) concerning the situation between Iraq and Kuwait with the task of examining requests for assistance under the provisions of Article 50 of the Charter and making recommendations to the President of the Security Council for appropriate action.

By resolution 843 (1993), adopted on 18 June 1993, the Security Council confirmed that its Committee established pursuant to resolution 724 (1991) concerning Yugoslavia was entrusted with the task of examining requests for assistance under the provisions of Article 50 of the Charter of the United Nations, and making recommendations to the President of the Security Council for appropriate action.

He refers to his letter dated 6 May 2000 addressed to you, to which he has yet to receive your response, and he urges you to meet your responsibility under Article 99 of the Charter by alerting the Security Council to take the necessary steps to end this constant aggression against Iraq.

In this connection, I reiterate my call to the Security Council to take strong action and to that end to consider establishing a panel of experts to investigate the identity and activities of those involved in drug trafficking and organized crime in Guinea-Bissau, with the possibility of taking measures, including punitive, targeted sanctions that would help reverse the current disturbing growth in the drug trafficking crisis in the country.
وفي هذا الصدد، أوجه من جديد ندائي إلى مجلس الأمن لاتخاذ إجراءات صارمة والنظر تحقيقا لذلك في إنشاء فريق خبراء للتحقيق في هوية وأنشطة الضالعين في عملية الاتجار بالمخدرات والجريمة المنظمة في غينيا - بيساو، فضلا عن إمكانية اتخاذ تدابير تشمل فرض جزاءات عقابية ومحددة من شأنها أن تساعد في عكس اتجاه التفاقم الحالي المقلق لأزمة الاتجار بالمخدرات في البلد.
