21- ألقت ممثلة غواتيمالا في الجلسة الأولى المعقودة في 10 كانون الثاني/يناير 2000، بياناً نيابة عن مجموعة أمريكا اللاتينية ومنطقة الكاريبي.

She added that in the opinion of the Latin American and Caribbean Group the Protocol should deal appropriately with the demobilization, recovery and social resettlement of children involved in armed conflicts and should include international cooperation aimed at mobilizing and contributing financial and technical resources to that effect.
