Although a country’s development must be achieved by relying on its own strength and resources, discussions within the United Nations Forum could focus on international action that might be taken. Many developing countries simply could not meet their development needs from domestic resources.

12. The United Nations Forum of Civil Society in support of Middle East Peace had taken place after the African Meeting, and had been attended by members of non-governmental organizations, civil society institutions and representatives of Governments and intergovernmental organizations.
12 - وقال إن محفل الأمم المتحدة للمجتمع المدني لدعم السلام في الشرق الأوسط انعقد بعد الاجتماع الأفريقي، وحضره أعضاء في منظمات غير حكومية ومؤسسات للمجتمع المدني وممثلون للحكومات ومنظمات حكومية دولية.

2. Requests the Executive Director to continue supporting the programme of work of the United Nations Forum on Forests in relation to the mandate of the United Nations Environment Programme and the functioning of its secretariat as done during the Intergovernmental Panel on Forests/Intergovernmental Forum on Forests process;
2 - يطلب إلى المدير التنفيذي أن يواصل دعم برنامج عمل محفل الأمم المتحدة المعني بالغابات نسبة للولاية التي يضطلع بها برنامج الأمم المتحدة للبيئة وأداء أمانته كما تمًّ أثناء عملية الفريق الحكومي الدولي المعني بالغابات/المحفل الحكومي الدولي المعني بالغابات.

3. Encourages the Executive Director to participate actively in the formation of the Collaborative Partnership on Forests, and to assist in enhancing cooperation and coordination within the United Nations system and with related organizations of the Interagency Partnership on Forests to achieve United Nations Forum on Forests goals;
3 - يشجع المدير التنفيذي على المشاركة بنشاط في تكوين الشراكة التعاونية المعنية بالغابات وعلى المساعدة في تعزيز التعاون والتنسيق داخل منظومة الأمم المتحدة ومع منظمات ذات صلة للشراكة المشتركة بين الوكالات المعنية بالغابات، وذلك لتحقيق مرامي محفل الأمم المتحدة المعني بالغابات؛

The Netherlands recognizes the need for additional research on the effects of the use of armaments and ammunitions containing depleted uranium and appreciates that this issue is being discussed in the forum of the United Nations.
وتعترف هولندا بضرورة إجراء المزيد من البحث في آثار استخدام الأسلحة والذخائر التي تحوي اليورانيوم المستنفد، وتعرب عن ارتياحها لطرح هذا الموضوع للنقاش في إطار محفل الأمم المتحدة.
