The Group of Seven Summit held in Lyon in 1996, the Sharm El-Sheikh Summit of March 1996 and the ninth meeting of heads of State and Governments of the Rio Group had all condemned terrorism in all its forms and reiterated their determination to make united efforts to combat that threat by all available legal means.

III. Raising awareness about identity-related crime With a view to raising awareness about the impact and the consequences of, as well as appropriate responses to, identity-related crime, UNODC was invited to attend the Technology against Crime International Forum on the topic " Technologies for a safer world " , held in Lyon, France, on 8 and 9 July 2013.
70- بغية التوعية بآثار وعواقب الجرائم المتصلة بالهوية وإيجاد الحلول المناسبة لها، دُعي مكتب الأمم المتحدة المعني بالمخدِّرات والجريمة إلى حضور المنتدى الدولي لاستخدام التكنولوجيا في مكافحة الجريمة الذي عقد في مدينة ليون بفرنسا يومي 8 و9 تموز/يوليه 2013 حول موضوع " دور التكنولوجيا في تأمين العالم " .
