The child victim of sale, prostitution and pornography should be clearly defined in relevant legislation and child victims should be protected at all stages of the criminal justice process in accordance with article 8 of the Optional Protocol;

They apply to children who are victims, offenders or witnesses and promote healing, respect and strengthened relationships; they can be introduced at all stages of the criminal justice process and in a range of other contexts, such as in families, schools, residential care and communities.

(d) Protect the privacy and well-being of child victims and witnesses at all stages of the criminal justice process (i.e. during identification, investigation, prosecution, punishment and extradition proceedings), including by ensuring that children are not subjected to fines, imprisonment or other punitive action;
(د) حماية خصوصية الأطفال الضحايا والشهود وسلامتهم في جميع مراحل عملية العدالة الجنائية (أي خلال تحديد الهوية والتحقيق والمقاضاة وإنزال العقوبة وإجراءات تسليم المجرمين)، بوسائل منها كفالة عدم تعريض الأطفال لدفع غرامات أو للسجن أو لإجراءات تأديبية أخرى؛

(d) In light of article 8, paragraph 1, of the Optional Protocol, ensure the protection of child victims and witnesses at all stages of the criminal justice process.
