The judgement shall be given only by judges who have been present at each stage of the trial before the Trial Chamber and throughout its deliberations.
ولا يصدر الحكم سوى القضاة الذين حضروا كل مرحلة من مراحل المحاكمة أمام الدائرة الابتدائية وطوال مداولاتها.

1. All the judges of the Trial Chamber shall be present at each stage of the trial and throughout their deliberations.
1 - يحضر جميع قضاة الدائرة الابتدائية كل مرحلة من مراحل المحاكمة وطوال مداولاتهم.

1. At least four members of the Trial Chamber must be present at each stage of the trial.
١ - يجب حضور أربعة من أعضاء الدائرة الابتدائية على اﻷقل في كل مرحلة من مراحل المحاكمة.

The principle of the rule of law also includes the right on the part of the accused person to defend himself during every stage of the proceedings through trusted defence counsel, as well as the right to remain silent.
ويشمل مبدأ حكم القانون أيضاً حق الشخص المتهم في الدفاع عن نفسه في كل مرحلة من مراحل المحاكمة بالاستعانة بمحام، وأيضاً حقه في التزام الصمت.

The person against whom criminal proceedings are held must be instructed at every stage of the proceedings of the rights allowing him/her a defence and to choose defence counsel, and all criminal justice agencies must allow the accused the exercise of his/her rights.

15- وبغية الحفاظ على حقوق المتهم بموجب الفقرتين 1 و3 من المادة 14، ينبغي أن يكون للقضاة سلطة النظر في أي ادعاءات بانتهاكات حقوق المتهم أثناء أية مرحلة من مراحل المحاكمة.

6. At the request of the presiding judge of a Trial Chamber, the President of the Special Tribunal may, in the interest of justice, assign alternate judges to be present at each stage of the trial and to replace a judge if that judge is unable to continue sitting.
6 - بناء على طلب القاضي الذي يترأس دائرة ابتدائية، يجوز لرئيس المحكمة الخاصة، لمصلحة العدالة، تكليف قضاة مناوبين بحضور كل مرحلة من مراحل المحاكمة وللحلول محل أي قاض ليس بوسعه مواصلة عمله.

3. Upon request or proprio motu, the Trial Chamber may at any stage of the trial decide to call additional witnesses and/or order the production of additional evidence.
3 - يجوز للدائرة الابتدائية في أي مرحلة من مراحل المحاكمة أن تقرر، بناء على طلب أو من تلقاء نفسها، استدعاء شهود إضافيين و/أو الأمر بتقديم أدلة إضافية.

[All of the judges of the Trial Chamber shall be present at each stage of the trial and throughout their deliberations, provided, however, that the trial or deliberation may proceed with four judges, if one, for a good cause, is unable to attend.]

بيد أن هذه الفقرة لا تمنح الحق بصورة مطلقة في استدعاء أي شاهد يطلبه المتهم أو محاميه، بل تمنح الحق في استدعاء شهود يُسلّم بأهميتهم بالنسبة للدفاع، وفي الحصول على فرصة ملائمة في مرحلة من مراحل المحاكمة لاستجواب شهود الاتهام والاعتراض على أقوالهم.

بيد أن هذا الضمان لا ينص على حق مطلق في استدعاء أي شاهد يطلبه المتهم أو محاميه، بل على الحق في استدعاء شهود يُسلّم بأهميتهم بالنسبة للدفاع، وفي الحصول على فرصة ملائمة في مرحلة من مراحل المحاكمة لاستجواب شهود الاتهام ودحض أقوالهم؛
