Further requests the Secretary-General to enable the Focal Point for Women in the Office of the Special Adviser on Gender Issues and Advancement of Women to effectively monitor and facilitate progress in the implementation of the strategic plan, including by ensuring access to the information required to carry out that work;
١٠ - تطلب كذلك إلى اﻷمين العام أن يمكن مركز تنسيق شؤون المرأة في مكتب المستشار الخاص للمسائل المتعلقة بالجنسين والنهوض بالمرأة من القيام بصورة فعالة برصد وتسهيل إحراز تقدم في تنفيذ الخطة الاستراتيجية، بما في ذلك عن طريق ضمان الحصول على المعلومات المطلوبة لتنفيذ هذه اﻷعمال؛

Further, it requested the Secretary-General to continue his work to create a gender-sensitive work environment and to enable the Focal Point for Women in the Secretariat effectively to monitor and facilitate progress in the implementation of the strategic plan.
وطلبت الجمعية كذلك الى اﻷمين العام أن يواصل عمله الرامي الى تهيئة بيئة عمل تراعي الفروق بين الجنسين، وتمكين مركز تنسيق شؤون المرأة في اﻷمانة العامة من القيام بصورة فعالة برصد وتسهيل التقدم في تنفيذ الخطة الاستراتيجية.

The Council called on the Secretary-General to strengthen, from within existing resources, the Focal Point for Women within the Secretariat to ensure authority of enforcement and responsibility of accountability and give it the express mandate for overall implementation of the plan of action developed by the Secretary-General to improve the status of women in the Secretariat.
ودعا المجلس اﻷمين العام إلى أن يعزز، في حدود الموارد الموجودة، مركز تنسيق شؤون المرأة داخل اﻷمانة العامة لضمان سلطة الانفاذ ومسؤولية المحاسبة وإلى إعطائه الولاية الصريحة للتنفيذ الشامل لخطة العمل التي وضعها اﻷمين العام لتحسين مركز المرأة في اﻷمانة العامة.

4. OHRM has also moved to involve the Focal Point for Women in the Secretariat in the processes of decision-making and information-sharing in the areas of recruitment, promotion and placement.
٤ - ومكتب تنظيم الموارد البشرية قد تحرك أيضا نحو إشراك مركز تنسيق شؤون المرأة في اﻷمانة العامة في عمليتي صنع القرار وتقاسم المعلومات، وذلك في مجالات التوظيف والترقية والتنسيب.

4. Decides to consider the structure and source of funding for the Focal Point for Women in the context of its consideration of the proposed programme budget for the biennium 1998-1999, and requests the Secretary-General to make proposals in this regard with a view to ensuring the provision of an adequate level of resources commensurate with the mandate;
٤ - تقرر أن تنظر في هيكل مركز تنسيق شؤون المرأة وفي مصدر تمويله في سياق نظرها في الميزانية البرنامجية المقترحة لفترة السنتين ١٩٩٨-١٩٩٩، وتطلب الى اﻷمين العام أن يقدم اقتراحات في هذا الصدد لكفالة توفير مستوى كاف من الموارد تتناسب مع ولايته؛

١٠ - تطلب إلى اﻷمين العام أن يمكن مركز تنسيق شؤون المرأة في مكتب المستشار الخاص للمسائل المتعلقة بالجنسين والنهوض بالمرأة من القيام بصورة فعالة برصد وتيسير التقدم في تنفيذ الخطة الاستراتيجية، بوسائل منها ضمان الحصول على المعلومات المطلوبة لتنفيذ هذه اﻷعمال؛
