" 1. Article 2, paragraph 1, of the statute states that the Inspectors shall be chosen from among members of national supervision or inspection bodies, or from among persons of a similar competence on the basis of their special experience in national or international administrative and financial matters, including management questions.

It is suggested that the proposed Committee on Public Administration and Development should review the administrative aspects of the implementation of the recommendations of the world conferences, in order to ensure full consideration of public management issues.

5. The required qualifications are set out in article 2 of the JIU statute, which stipulates that the inspectors, who serve in their personal capacity, shall be " chosen from among members of national supervision or inspection bodies, or from among persons of a similar competence on the basis of their special experience in national or international administrative and financial matters, including management questions " .

(c) To request the Secretary-General to ensure an integrated and coordinated handling of financial management issues in the framework of the new structure of the Department;

106. The Director of the Division of Administration has overall responsibility for the management of human and financial resources and the support operations of UNTAET, and advises the Special Representative of the Secretary-General on internal administrative management issues.

1. Management, budgetary and administrative issues. As requested by the General Assembly in its resolution 45/237, the Unit has been devoting increasing attention to these matters over the past few years.
