19. Ratification of the Treaty on Further Reduction and Limitation of Strategic Offensive Arms (START II) by the Russian Federation is an important step in the efforts to reduce strategic offensive weapons and is welcomed.
19 - إن تصديق الاتحاد الروسي على معاهدة زيادة تخفيض الأسلحة الهجومية الاستراتيجية والحد منها (ستارت الثانية) هو خطوة هامة في الجهود الرامية إلى تخفيض الأسلحة الاستراتيجية الهجومية وهو خطوة تحظى بالترحيب.

Despite the intention of the Russian Federation and the United States to reduce their strategic nuclear arsenals under the Treaty on Further Reduction and Limitation of Strategic Offensive Arms (START II), they were yet to take concrete steps towards the elimination of nuclear weapons altogether.
