I. Right to an adequate standard of living

6. At the core of social rights is the right to an adequate standard of living (Universal Declaration, art. 25 and the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights, art. 11) which are the provisions which concern us most.
٦- ويمثل الحق في مستوى معيشة كاف صميم الحقوق الاجتماعية )اﻹعلان العالمي لحقوق اﻹنسان، المادة ٥٢، والعهد الدولي الخاص بالحقوق الاقتصادية والاجتماعية والثقافية، المادة ١١(، وهي أحكام تهمنا جميعاً.

21. The Committee notes that the State party does not give due consideration to the threats to the natural environment of Solomon Islands, caused by the practices of deforestation and overfishing, affecting the maintenance of an adequate standard of living, as guaranteed by article 11 of the Covenant.

Housing policy is directly related to issues of violence against women. The International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights sets out the equal right of women and men to an adequate standard of living, which includes the right to adequate housing.
68- ثمة صلة مباشرة بين سياسة الإسكان وقضايا العنف المرتكب ضد المرأة وقد نص العهد الدولي الخاص بالحقوق الاقتصادية والاجتماعية والثقافية على تمتع النساء والرجال بحقوق متساوية في مستوى معيشة كاف يشمل الحق في السكن الملائم.

141. The observer for the Islamic Republic of Iran proposed to insert, in the second option of paragraph 2 after the word " groups " , the following phrase: " to promote an adequate standard of living for the physical, mental, spiritual, moral and social development of the child, " .
١٤١- واقترح المراقب عن جمهوية ايران الاسلامية أن تُدرج، في الخيار الثاني للفقرة ٢، بعد كلمة " الضعيفة " ، الجملة التالية: " لتعزيز مستوى معيشة كاف لتنمية الطفل الجسدية والعقلية والروحية واﻷدبية والاجتماعية، " .
