The Working Group notes with appreciation that some States have declared slavery a crime against humanity and have expressed regret for their colonial policies that contributed to the scourges of slavery and the slave trade, and encourages other States and institutions to consider taking similar action.
40- ويلاحظ الفريق العامل مع التقدير أن بعض الدول قد أعلنت أن الرق جريمة ضد الإنسانية وأعربت عن أسفها لسياساتها الاستعمارية التي أسهمت في كارثتي الرق وتجارة الرقيق، ويشجع دولاً ومؤسسات أخرى على النظر في اتخاذ إجراءات مشابهة.

Further encourages all States to ensure that immigrants in an irregular situation and asylum-seekers are protected from arbitrary arrest and detention and to take action to prevent any form of arbitrary deprivation of liberty of immigrants and asylum-seekers, and notes with appreciation that some States have successfully implemented alternative measures to detention for undocumented migrants;
6- يشجع كذلك جميع الدول على ضمان حماية المهاجرين الموجودين في وضع مخالف للقانون وملتمسي اللجوء من التوقيف والاحتجاز التعسفيين واتخاذ إجراءات لمنع أي شكل من أشكال حرمان المهاجرين وملتمسي اللجوء من حريتهم تعسفاً، ويلاحظ مع التقدير أن بعض الدول قد نجحت في تنفيذ التدابير البديلة عن الاحتجاز لفائدة المهاجرين الذين لا يحملون وثائق؛

6.
