فقد اتخذت اللجنة القرار 2003/46 بشأن " حقوق الإنسان للمهاجرين " والقرار 2003/48 بشأن " الاتفاقية الدولية لحماية حقوق جميع العمال المهاجرين وأفراد أسرهم " ، مُقِّرة مع التقدير بدء سريان الاتفاقية.

6. Noting with appreciation the entry into force of the European Framework Convention on the Protection of National Minorities and the initial work of the Committee, the Working Group recommends that other regional organizations explore the possibility of similar standard-setting and institutional development, taking into account the specificities of the region concerned.
6- إذ يلاحظ الفريق العامل مع التقدير بدء سريان مفعول الاتفاقية الإطارية الأوروبية لحماية الأقليات القومية والأعمال الأولية للجنة، يوصي بأن تبحث المنظمات الإقليمية الأخرى إمكانية وضع معايير مماثلة وإنشاء مؤسسات مماثلة تضع في اعتبارها السمات المميزة للمنطقة المعنية.

6. The Committee also notes with appreciation the initiation of negotiations on the Nordic Sámi Convention, as well as the State party's naming of a negotiating delegation, half of which consists of members of the Sámi indigenous group.
6- وتلاحظ اللجنة أيضاً مع التقدير بدء المفاوضات بشأن اتفاقية بلدان الشمال الأوروبي المتعلقة بالصاميين، فضلاً عن مبادرة الدولة الطرف إلى تسمية وفد تفاوضي، يتألف نصفه من الصاميين الأصليين.

The Committee notes with appreciation the introduction in 2007of a federal examination which is mandatory for candidates applying for posts in the police force and which integrates modules on ethics and human rights.

وإذ تلاحظ مع التقدير بدء نفاذ معاهدة تخفيض الأسلحة الهجومية الاستراتيجية ( " معاهدة موسكو " ) المبرمة بين الولايات المتحدة والاتحاد الروسي()، باعتبارها خطوة مهمة نحو تخفيض أسلحتهما الاستراتيجية النووية المنشورة، وإذ تدعوهما في الوقت ذاته إلى إجراء تخفيضات كبيرة أخرى لا رجعة فيها في ترسانتيهما النوويتين،
