A number of outreach activities and programmes have been and are being implemented by the Supreme Council, in coordination with the Ministry of Information, the Ministry of Social Affairs, the Ministry of Labour and the Ministry of Human Rights, as follows:

99. In 2009, the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, in cooperation with the Ministry of Information, ran four training courses for 100 information specialists on combating child trafficking. The courses were run in four governorates: Sana`a, Hajjah, Hudaydah and Mahwayt.

The telecommunications corporation has agreed in principle to assign a requested frequency for UNMIS radio, pending political approval by the Council of Ministers and the Sudan Radio and Television Corporation as the current licensing agency.
52 - وتمت المشاورات عبر الأشهر الأخيرة مع وزارة الإعلام وإدارة هيئة الإذاعة والتليفزيون السودانية ومؤسسة الاتصالات السلكية واللاسلكية الوطنية التي وافقت من حيث المبدأ على توزيع تردد مطلوب لراديو البعثة بانتظار الموافقة السياسية من جانب مجلس الوزراء وهيئة للإذاعة والتلفزيون السودانية بوصفها وكالة الترخيص الحالية.

76. A conference was also held on the Effect of Wars and Armed Conflicts on the Arab Family in 2007, in cooperation with the Ministry of Information and the League of Arab States (Department of Family and Childhood). During the conference, various Arab countries presented papers on: the economic, psychological and social effects of wars and armed conflicts; international conventions; and civilians in wars and conflicts.
76- وعُقد أيضاً مؤتمر أثر الحروب والنزاعات المسلحة على الأسرة العربية عام 2007 وذلك بالتعاون مع وزارة الإعلام وجامعة الدول العربية (دائرة الأسرة والطفولة)، قُدمت خلال المؤتمر أبحاث هامة من مختلف الأقطار العربية تناولت الآثار الاقتصادية للحروب والنزاعات المسلحة على الأسرة والآثار النفسية والاجتماعية والمواثيق الدولية والمدنيون في الحروب والنزعات.
