By its most recent resolution 64/106, the Assembly requested the Special Committee to formulate specific proposals to bring about an end to colonialism and to report thereon to the Assembly at its sixty-fifth session.

In addition to the aforementioned mandated activities, which continue to be requested of the Special Committee, other actions include the formulation of specific proposals to bring about an end to colonialism; and to develop and finalize, in cooperation with the administering Powers and the Territories in question, a constructive programme of work on a case-by-case basis.
