يقدّم هذا التقرير، المُعدّ عملا بقرارات المجلس الاقتصادي والاجتماعي والجمعية العامة، لمحة عامة موجزة عن أنشطة مكتب الأمم المتحدة المعني بالمخدرات والجريمة في مجال مكافحة الجريمة المنظّمة عبر الوطنية والفساد.

VI. Strengthening international judicial cooperation to fight transnational organized crime
سادساً- تعزيز التعاون الدولي في الشؤون القضائية من أجل مكافحة الجريمة المنظّمة عبر الوطنية

As a result, in order to effectively counter transnational organized crime, Member States must have in place and utilize the full range of legal and law enforcement tools set out in the Convention and its Protocols in order to be able to respond to all forms of criminal conduct and cooperate much more effectively at both the regional and international levels.
ونتيجة لذلك، وسعياً إلى مكافحة الجريمة المنظّمة عبر الوطنية على نحو فعال، يجب على الدول الأعضاء أن تضع جميع الأدوات القانونية وأدوات إنفاذ القانون المنصوص عليها في الاتفاقية والبروتوكولات الملحقة بها موضع التنفيذ وأن تستخدمها لكي تكون قادرة على التصدي لجميع أشكال السلوك الإجرامي وعلى التعاون بفعالية أكبر على الصعيدين الإقليمي والدولي كليهما.
