In its concluding observations on the report of Gabon, the Committee regretted the absence of a specific regulatory or legislative framework that would make it possible to systematize practice in implementing the right to prior informed consultation of indigenous peoples in decision-making processes concerning the exploitation of natural resources in traditional territories.

90. The Committee on the Rights of the Child, in its concluding observations on the report of Morocco expressed concern over the situation in relation to the administration of juvenile justice, in particular that children aged between 16 and 18 are treated as adults and that children deprived of their liberty are not separated from adults.

12. In its concluding observations on the report of Ecuador, the Committee reiterated its concern about the failure to undertake consultations as a basis for obtaining the prior, freely given and informed consent of indigenous peoples and nationalities for natural resource development projects that affect them.

39. In its concluding observations on the report of Cambodia, the Committee noted that primary education continued to be a problem for various ethnic minorities in the north and east of the country, where there are 20 minority languages spoken by these groups as their mother tongue, while the formal education curriculum has only used Khmer as the language of instruction.
39- ولاحظت اللجنة، في ملاحظاتها الختامية بشأن تقرير كمبوديا، أن التعليم الابتدائي لا يزال يمثل مشكلة لمختلف الأقليات الإثنية المقيمة في شمال البلد وشرقه حيث توجد 20 لغة من لغات الأقليات التي تتحدث بها هذه المجموعات باعتبارها لغتها الأم، بينما لا يستخدم منهج التعليم الرسمي سوى لغة الخمير كلغة تدريس.

Subsequently, in its concluding observations on the report of the Russian Federation, the Committee noted a complete lack of representation of indigenous peoples in the State Duma of the Federal Assembly (CERD/C/RUS/CO/19).

28. In its concluding observations on the report of Algeria (CRC/C/15/Add.76), the Committee regretted the absence of information on the teaching programmes for nomadic children, who should be able to benefit from the provisions of article 30 on the rights of minority children.

In its concluding observations on the report of Sudan, the Committee on the Rights of the Child expressed serious concerns that, despite the adoption of the Child Act (2010), which prohibits the passing of the death sentence on children, under article 36 of the interim Constitution of Sudan, the death penalty might be imposed on persons below the age of 18 in cases of retribution or hudud.

For example, in its concluding observations on the report of the United Republic of Tanzania in 2001, the Committee on the Rights of the Child noted the " impact of the structural adjustment programme, high external debt payments, and increasing levels of unemployment and poverty within the State party " .

12. In its concluding observations on the report of China, the Committee was concerned about the resettlements of nomadic herdsmen in the " new socialist villages " carried out in the State party without proper consultation and in most cases without the free, prior and informed consent of those concerned, particularly in the western provinces and autonomous regions.

14. In its concluding observations on the report of the United Republic of Tanzania, the Committee expressed concern about forced evictions of vulnerable communities, including pastoralist and hunter-gatherer communities, from their traditional lands, which had resulted in a critical reduction in their access to land and natural resources, threatening their livelihoods in particular.
14 - وأعربت اللجنة، في ملاحظاتها الختامية بشأن تقرير تنـزانيا، عن القلق إزاء حالات الإجلاء القسري لجماعات محلية ضعيفة، من بينها جماعات الرعاة والجماعات التي تعتمد على الصيد وجمع الثمار، من أراضيها التقليدية، مما أدى إلى الحد بشدة من إمكانية وصولها إلى الأراضي والموارد الطبيعية، مما يهدد بوجه خاص سبُل عيشها.

22. In its concluding observations on the report of Belarus (CERD/C/304/Add.22), the Committee welcomed the signature by Belarus of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) Convention concerning the Rights of Persons Belonging to National Minorities and the detailed information provided in the report on the ethnic composition of the population involving national, ethnic, cultural, linguistic and religious minorities in Belarus.
٢٢ - وقد رحبت اللجنة في ملاحظاتها الختامية بشأن تقرير بيلاروس )CERD/C/304/Add.22(، بتوقيع بيلاروس على اتفاقية رابطة الدول المستقلة الخاصة بحقوق اﻷشخاص المنتمين إلى أقليات قومية، وبالمعلومات المفصلة المقدمة في التقرير المعني بالتكوين العرقي للسكان الذي شمل اﻷقليات الوطنية والعرقية والثقافية واللغوية والدينية في بيلاروس.

24. In its concluding observations on the report of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland (CERD/C/304/Add.20), the Committee welcomed the measures taken to increase the participation of members of ethnic minorities in public and government office and in the police, as well as the adoption of a 10-point action plan to raise the achievement of ethnic minority pupils.
