These programmes and commitments are a welcome development, and a firm indication of commitment to systematic and progressive efforts to reduce and eliminate nuclear weapons.
وتعد هذه البرامج والالتزامات تطورات سارة، وعلامة راسخة تدل على الالتزام ببذل جهود منتظمة وتدريجية من أجل تخفيض الأسلحة النووية وإزالتها.

Among those commitments, pride of place is given to the early conclusion of negotiations on a non-discriminatory and universally applicable convention banning the production of fissile material for military purposes and the determined pursuit by the nuclear-weapon States of systematic and progressive efforts to reduce nuclear weapons globally.
ومن بين تلك الالتزامات نجد في مكان الصدارة الاختتــام المبكــر للمفاوضــات المتعلقة بوضع اتفاقية لا تمييزية قابلة للتطبيق عالميا تحظر إنتاج المواد الانشطارية لﻷغراض العسكرية، ومواصلة الدول الحائزة لﻷسلحة النووية بذل جهود منتظمة وتدريجية من أجل تخفيض اﻷسلحة النووية على الصعيد العالمي.

In the Declaration of Principles and Objectives, the nuclear-weapon States reaffirmed their commitment to pursue in good faith negotiations on effective measures relating to nuclear disarmament and to make systematic and progressive efforts to reduce nuclear weapons with the ultimate goal of eliminating those weapons.
وفي إعلان المبادئ واﻷهداف، أعادت الدول الحائزة لﻷسلحة النووية التأكيد على التزامها بأن تواصل بحسن نية التفاوض على تدابير فعالة في سبيل نزع السلاح النووي، وأن تبذل جهودا منتظمة وتدريجية من أجل تخفيض عدد اﻷسلحة النووية بهدف القضاء عليها في نهاية المطاف.

2. Reaffirms that the outcome of the 2000 Review Conference of the Parties to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons sets out the agreed process for systematic and progressive efforts towards nuclear disarmament;
2 - تؤكد من جديد أن نتائج مؤتمر الأطراف في معاهدة عدم انتشار الأسلحة النووية لاستعراض المعاهدة في عام 2000 تحدد العملية المتفق عليها لبذل جهود منتظمة وتدريجية من أجل نـزع السلاح النووي(3)؛

7. All States parties reaffirm their commitment to fulfil with determination their obligations under article VI. In this context, the nuclear-weapon States parties declare their commitment to the ultimate elimination of nuclear weapons and to that end agree to pursue vigorously systematic and progressive efforts to further reduce nuclear weapons globally.
٧ - تعيد جميع الدول الأطراف تأكيد التزامها على التصميم على الوفاء بالتزاماتها بموجب المادة السادسة. وفي هذا الصدد، تعلن الدول الأطراف الحائزة لأسلحة نووية التزامها بالقضاء على الأسلحة النووية في نهاية المطاف، وتوافق من أجل تحقيق هذه الغاية على أن تبذل بقوة جهودا منتظمة وتدريجية من أجل الحد من الأسلحة النووية على الصعيد العالمي.

Reference is made to the sequential listing therein of three objectives under a “Nuclear disarmament” heading: the CTBT, the fissile materials convention, and “the determined pursuit by the nuclear—weapon States of systematic and progressive efforts to reduce nuclear weapons globally, with the ultimate goal of eliminating those weapons, and by all States of general and complete disarmament under strict and effective international control.
ويشار إلى ذكر متعاقب في هذه الوثيقة ﻷهداف ثلاثة تحت عنوان " نزع السلاح النووي " ، وهي: معاهدة الحظر الشامل للتجارب، واتفاقية حظر انتاج المواد الانشطارية، و " سعي الدول الحائزة ﻷسلحة نووية بعزم إلى بذل جهود منتظمة وتدريجية من أجل تخفيض كميات اﻷسلحة النووية على الصعيد العالمي، بهدف نهائي هو إزالة تلك اﻷسلحة، وقيام جميع الدول بنزع السلاح العام والكامل في ظل رقابة دولية صارمة وفعالة " .
