The ongoing World Trade Organization (WTO) trade negotiations under the Doha Development Agenda seek to establish a fairer and more equitable trading system for all WTO members by addressing inequities in current multilateral trading rules.

In a West African (ECOWAS) workshop, participants were able to compare best practices, identify national and regional interests in the light of ongoing WTO negotiations and to formulate joint negotiating positions.

With regard to the ongoing WTO negotiations on trade facilitation, the early conclusion of a WTO trade facilitation agreement at the ninth WTO Ministerial Conference to be held in Bali, Indonesia, in December 2013 would be of paramount importance, in particular for LLDCs.
47- وفيما يتعلق بمفاوضات منظمة التجارة العالمية الجارية بشأن تيسير التجارة، فإن إبرام منظمة التجارة العالمية اتفاق تيسير التجارة في المؤتمر الوزاري التاسع الذي ستعقده المنظمة في بالي بإندونيسيا في كانون الأول/ديسمبر 2013، أمر في غاية الأهمية لا سيما بالنسبة للبلدان النامية غير الساحلية.

This sector is poised to change further as a result of the current WTO negotiations on telecommunications services which, in addition to basic telecommunication services, cover value-added services such as electronic mail, voice mail, online information and database retrieval, electronic data interchange (EDI), and enhanced/value-added facsimile services.

Technical assistance from UNCTAD and other international organizations is required in analysing information on agricultural trade policies of other countries to support developing countries, particularly LDCs and NFIDCs, in the current WTO negotiations on agriculture and in negotiations on accession to the WTO.
(أ) إن المساعدة التقنية من الأونكتاد والمنظمات الدولية الأخرى لازمة لتحليل المعلومات بشأن سياسات التجارة الزراعية في البلدان الأخرى لدعم البلدان النامية، لا سيما أقل البلدان نمواً والبلدان النامية المستوردة الصافية للأغذية، في مفاوضات منظمة التجارة العالمية الجارية بشأن الزراعة وفي المفاوضات بشأن الانضمام إلى منظمة التجارة العالمية.
