102. While some States have demonstrated a strong commitment to improving child participation in preventing and combating the sale and sexual exploitation of children, their capacity to act is sometimes hampered by political instability and limited resources.

56. In the framework of her mandate, and in particular during her country visits, the Special Rapporteur has had the opportunity to interact with numerous stakeholders and learn about many initiatives aimed at preventing and combating the sale and sexual exploitation of children.

32. The responses to the questionnaire indicate that numerous stakeholders, at all levels, have participated in initiatives to directly or indirectly prevent and combat the sale and exploitation of children during and after a natural disaster.

117. In order to effectively prevent and combat the sale and sexual exploitation of children in the years ahead, the Special Rapporteur underlines the need to strengthen and develop comprehensive child rights strategies, building on:
117- وتوخياً للفعالية في منع ومكافحة بيع الأطفال واستغلالهم جنسياً في المستقبل، تشدد المقررة الخاصة على ضرورة وضع استراتيجيات شاملة لحقوق الطفل وتعزيز هذه الاستراتيجيات بالاستناد إلى ما يلي:

All activities to prevent and combat the sale and sexual exploitation of children will be designed and developed incorporating the four principles enshrined in the Convention on the Rights of the Child, namely non-discrimination (art. 2), the best interests of the child (art. 3), the right to life, survival and development (art. 6) and respect for the views of the child (art. 12).
فجميع الأنشطة الرامية إلى منع ومكافحة بيع الأطفال واستغلالهم جنسياً ستصمم وتُعدُّ على نحو يشمل المبادئ الأربعة المنصوص عليها في اتفاقية حقوق الطفل، وهي عدم التمييز (المادة 2)، ومصالح الطفل الفضلى (المادة 3) والحق في الحياة والبقاء والنمو (المادة 6) واحترام آراء الطفل (المادة 12).
