The possibility of convening a world conference on the elimination of racism, racial and ethnic discrimination, xenophobia and other related contemporary forms of intolerance is being studied.
ويجري حاليا دراسة إمكانية عقد مؤتمر عالمي للقضاء على العنصرية والتمييز العنصري واﻹثني وكراهية اﻷجانب وغير ذلك من أشكال التعصب المعاصرة ذات الصلة.

The Council requested the Secretary-General to take the necessary measures to transmit to the General Assembly at its fifty-first session the results of his consultations with Member States and intergovernmental and non-governmental organizations on the possibility of holding a world conference to combat racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and related contemporary forms of intolerance. 1996/256.
كما طلب المجلس إلى اﻷمين العام أن يتخذ الخطوات اللازمة لكي يحيل إلى الجمعية العامة في دورتها الحادية والخمسين نتائج مشاوراته مع الدول اﻷعضاء ومع المنظمات الحكومية الدولية وغير الحكومية بشأن عقد مؤتمر عالمي لمكافحة العنصرية والتمييز العنصري وكراهية اﻷجانب وما يتصل بذلك من أشكال التعصب المعاصرة.

The Economic and Social Council had approved the recommendation of the Commission on Human Rights to the General Assembly to consider at its fiftieth session the possibility of convening a world conference against racism, racial and ethnic discrimination, xenophobia and other related contemporary forms of intolerance, within the framework of the Third Decade.
٦ - وأعلن أن المجلس الاقتصادي والاجتماعي وافق على التوصية التي قدمتها لجنة حقوق اﻹنسان إلى الجمعية العامة بأن تنظر أثناء دورتها الخمسين في إمكانية عقد مؤتمر عالمي مناهض للعنصرية والتمييز العنصري واﻹثني، وكره اﻷجانب وغير ذلك من أشكال التعصب المعاصرة ذات الصلة، وذلك في إطار العقد الثالث.

The possibility of holding a world conference to combat racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and other related contemporary forms of intolerance, broached on the recommendation of the Third Committee in General Assembly resolution 50/136, had not made much headway, since only two States had thus far expressed their interest to the Secretary-General.
وقال إنه لم يجر إحراز تقدم يذكر بشأن إمكانية عقد مؤتمر عالمي لمكافحة العنصرية والتمييز العنصري وكراهية اﻷجانب وما يتصل بذلك من أشكال التعصب المعاصرة اﻷخرى، الذي تطرق إليه قرار الجمعية العامة ٥٠/١٣٦ بناء على توصية اللجنة الثالثة، فحتى اﻵن لم تعرب سوى دولتان لﻷمين العام عن اهتمامهما بذلك.

12. Requests the Secretary-General to consult Member States and intergovernmental, as well as non-governmental, organizations on the possibility of holding a world conference to combat racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and other related contemporary forms of intolerance;
٢١ - تطلب إلى اﻷمين العام التشاور مع الدول اﻷعضاء، والمنظمات الحكومية الدولية، فضلا عن المنظمات غير الحكومية، بشأن إمكانية عقد مؤتمر لمكافحة العنصرية والتمييز العنصري وكراهية اﻷجانب، وما يتصل بذلك من أشكال التعصب المعاصرة اﻷخرى؛

12. Requests also the Secretary-General to consult Member States and intergovernmental, as well as non-governmental, organizations on the possibility of holding a world conference to combat racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and other related contemporary forms of intolerance;
١٢ - تطلب أيضا إلى اﻷمين العام التشاور مع الدول اﻷعضاء، والمنظمات الحكومية الدولية، فضلا عن المنظمات غير الحكومية، بشأن إمكانية عقد مؤتمر لمكافحة العنصرية والتمييز العنصري وكراهية اﻷجانب، وما يتصل بذلك من أشكال التعصب المعاصرة اﻷخرى؛

In that connection, his Government fully endorsed the work of the Special Rapporteur on contemporary forms of racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and related intolerance. It also supported the recommendation of the Economic and Social Council with regard to the possibility of convening a world conference against racism, racial and ethnic discrimination, xenophobia and other related contemporary forms of intolerance.
وأعرب في هذا الصدد عن تأييد حكومته التام ﻷعمال المقرر الخاص المعني باﻷشكال المعاصرة للعنصرية، والتمييز العنصري، وكره اﻷجانب، وما يتصل بذلك من أشكال التعصب، كما تؤيد توصية المجلس الاقتصادي والاجتماعي فيما يخص إمكانية عقد مؤتمر عالمي لمناهضة العنصرية والتمييز العنصري والعرقي، وكره اﻷجانب وغيرها من أشكال التعصب المعاصرة ذات الصلة.
