ونرحب بالمبادرات التي تقوم بها الدول لإعادة تأكيد التزامها بتنفيذ الفقرتين 101 و 102 من إعلان ديربان للمؤتمر العالمي لمناهضة العنصرية والتمييز العنصري وكراهية الأجانب وما يتصل بذلك من تعصب، الهادف إلى مكافحة إرث الرقّ، والإسهام في استعادة كرامة ضحاياه وضحايا تجارة الرقيق.

23. In her paper Ms. Petrova cited some of the most relevant provisions of the Durban Declaration and Programme of Action with respect to the role of States in making legal avenues available to minority members who were victims of racial discrimination.
23- عرضت السيدة بيتروفا في ورقتها بعض أهم الأحكام الوجيهة من إعلان ديربان وبرنامج العمل تتناول دور الدول في إتاحة السبل القانونية لأفراد الأقليات من ضحايا التمييز العنصري.

Indeed, as stated in paragraph 81 of the Durban Declaration, any form of impunity for crimes motivated by racist and xenophobic attitudes plays a role in weakening the rule of law and democracy and tends to encourage the recurrence of such acts.
