In conclusion, Dr. Ruwa urged the experts to consider the most important environmental aspects to be studied in the Western Indian Ocean region, agree on how to analyse the economic benefits derived from the marine environment in the Western Indian Ocean region, and agree on how to analyse the health, the income and the general well-being of marine workers, and the social impacts of the marine environment on the society in general.
30 - وفي الختام، حث الدكتور روا الخبراء على النظر في أهم جوانب البيئية لدراستها في منطقة غرب المحيط الهندي، والاتفاق حول سبل تحليل الفوائد الاقتصادية المستمدة من البيئة البحرية في منطقة غربي المحيط الهندي، والاتفاق حول كيفية تحليل صحة العاملين في المجال البحري ودخلهم ورفاهم، والآثار الاجتماعية المترتبة على البيئة البحرية في المجتمع بوجه عام.

Storage or disposal of radioactive waste should not take place near the marine environment [and other sensitive ecological areas] unless States determine that scientific evidence, consistent with the applicable internationally agreed principles and guidelines, shows that this does not pose an unacceptable risk to people and the environment.
