Taking note of the reports of the Special Committee to Investigate Israeli Practices Affecting the Human Rights of the Palestinian People and Other Arabs of the Occupied Territories submitted to the General Assembly since 1968,
وإذ تحيط علماً بتقارير اللجنة الخاصة المعنية بالتحقيق في الممارسات الإسرائيلية التي تمس حقوق الإنسان للشعب الفلسطيني وغيره من السكان العرب في الأراضي المحتلة، المقدمة إلى الجمعية العامة منذ عام 1968،

The report stated the following regarding the withdrawal of identity cards from the Arab inhabitants of Jerusalem:
وذكر التقرير ما يلي فيما يتصل بسحب بطاقات الهوية من السكان العرب في القدس:

Most of the development suggested in the new plan is in the central sector of the Galilee, where 41 per cent of the Jewish population in the district resides and 82 per cent of the Arab population in the district resides.

The Fourth Committee considered the report of the Special Committee concerning the protection and promotion of the human rights of the Palestinian people and other Arab inhabitants of the occupied territories as well as other reports by the Secretary-General submitted under this item.
وقد نظرت اللجنة الرابعة في تقرير اللجنة الخاصة المتعلق بحماية وتعزيز حقوق الإنسان للشعب الفلسطيني وغيره من السكان العرب في الأراضي المحتلة، فضلاً عن تقارير أخرى قدمها الأمين العام، في إطار هذا البند.

In 2003, about 64.3 million people, representing 21.4 per cent of the Arab population, had no access to electricity, and as many were severely undersupplied, both in rural and in poor urban areas.
