2. Also calls upon the Government of Israel to refrain from holding the detained Lebanese citizens incarcerated in its prisons as hostages for bargaining purposes and to release them immediately, in compliance with all the Geneva Conventions of 12 August 1949 and other provisions of international law;
2- تطلب أيضاً من حكومة إسرائيل أن تمتنع عن الاحتفاظ بالمواطنين اللبنانيين المعتقلين في سجونها كرهائن لأغراض المساومة وبأن تُفرج عنهم فوراً، امتثالاً لجميع اتفاقيات جنيف وغيرها من أحكام القانون الدولي؛

21. In document A/57/138, the Special Rapporteur of the Commission on Human Rights stated that violence in the territories occupied by Israel was a cause of gravest concern and called on the Government of Israel to investigate all incidents of alleged killings by Government forces without delay and to ensure that the persons responsible were brought to justice.
21 - وأشار إلى ان المقررة الخاصة للجنة حقوق الإنسان قال، في الوثيقة A/57/138، إن العنف في المناطق التي تحتلها إسرائيل هو أكبر دواعي القلق، وطلبت من حكومة إسرائيل أن تحقق دون إبطاء في كافة حوادث القتل المزعومة على يد القوات الحكومية قامت بها وأن تضمن تقديم المسؤولين عنها إلى العدالة.

Pursuant to General Assembly resolution 57/123 of 11 December 2002, the Secretary-General again requested the Government of Israel to facilitate the visit of an expert to complete the functional feasibility study on establishing the proposed University of Jerusalem " Al-Quds " for Palestine refugees.
عملا بقرار الجمعية العامة 57/123، المؤرخ 11 كانون الأول/ديسمبر 2002، كرر الأمين العام طلبه من حكومة إسرائيل أن تسهل زيارة أحد الخبراء الرامية إلى إتمام دراسة الجدوى الوظيفية المتعلقة بإنشاء جامعة القدس المقترحة للاجئين الفلسطينيين.

4. Requests the Government of Israel to assume responsibility for prompt and adequate compensation to the Government of Lebanon and other countries directly affected by the oil slick, such as the Syrian Arab Republic whose shores have been partially polluted, for the costs of repairing the environmental damage caused by the destruction, including the restoration of the marine environment;
4 - تطلب من حكومة إسرائيل أن تتحمل مسؤولية التعويض الفوري والكافي لحكومة لبنان والبلدان الأخرى التي تضررت بصورة مباشرة من البقعة النفطية، مثل الجمهورية العربية السورية التي لوثت شواطئها جزئيا، عن تكاليف إصلاح الضرر البيئي الناجم عن التدمير، بما في ذلك إعادة البيئة البحرية إلى سابق حالها؛

7. On 19 June 2009, OHCHR, on behalf of the Secretary-General, addressed a note verbale to the Government of Israel referring to the above-mentioned General Assembly resolution and asking the Government of Israel to give any information on steps taken or to be taken concerning the implementation of the relevant provisions of that resolution.
7 - وفي 19 حزيران/يونيه 2009، وجهت المفوضية، باسم الأمين العام، مذكرة شفوية إلى حكومة إسرائيل تشير فيها إلى قرار الجمعية العامة المذكور أعلاه وتطلب فيها من حكومة إسرائيل أن تقدم أي معلومات عن الخطوات المتخذة أو التي ستُتخذ فيما يتعلق بتنفيذ أحكام ذلك القرار ذات الصلة.
