6. Study on the promotion and protection of the rights of indigenous peoples in natural disaster risk reduction and prevention and preparedness initiatives

It also highlights activities for promoting regional cooperation and environmental protection and reducing the danger of natural disasters.
وهو يبرز أيضا أنشطة تعزيز التعاون الإقليمي وحماية البيئة والحد من خطر الكوارث الطبيعية.

UNEP will help stakeholders to use the environment as a platform for cooperation to reduce the risk of natural and man-made disasters.

11. Decides to hold, at its twenty-seventh session, a half-day panel discussion on the promotion and protection of the rights of indigenous peoples in natural disaster risk reduction, and prevention and preparedness initiatives, including consultation and cooperation with the indigenous peoples concerned in the elaboration of national plans for natural disaster risk reduction;
11- يقرر أن يعقد، في دورته السابعة والعشرين، حلقة نقاش مدتها نصف يوم حول تعزيز وحماية حقوق الشعوب الأصلية في المبادرات الرامية إلى الحدِّ من خطر الكوارث الطبيعية ومنعها والتأهب لها، على أن تشمل التشاور والتعاون مع الشعوب الأصلية المعنية في وضع خطط وطنية للحد من خطر الكوارث الطبيعية؛

6. Also requests the Expert Mechanism to prepare a study on the promotion and protection of the rights of indigenous peoples in natural disaster risk reduction and prevention and preparedness initiatives, including consultation and cooperation with the indigenous peoples concerned in elaboration of national plans for natural disaster risk reduction, and to present it to the Human Rights Council at its twenty-seventh session;
6- يطلب أيضاً إلى آلية الخبراء أن تعد دراسة عن تعزيز وحماية حقوق الشعوب الأصلية في المبادرات الرامية إلى الحد من خطر الكوارث الطبيعية ومنعها والتأهب لها، تشمل التشاور والتعاون مع الشعوب الأصلية المعنية في وضع خطط وطنية للحد من خطر الكوارث الطبيعية وأن تقدم هذه الدراسة إلى مجلس حقوق الإنسان في دورته السابعة والعشرين؛

78. Pursuant to its resolutions 18/8 and 24/10, the Human Rights Council will hold a half-day panel discussion on the promotion and protection of the rights of indigenous peoples in natural disaster risk reduction, and prevention and preparedness initiatives, including consultation and cooperation with the indigenous peoples concerned in the elaboration of national plans for natural disaster risk reduction (see annex).
78- وسيعقد مجلس حقوق الإنسان، عملاً بقراريه 18/8 و24/10، حلقة نقاش مدتها نصف يوم حول تعزيز وحماية حقوق الشعوب الأصلية في المبادرات الرامية إلى الحدِّ من خطر الكوارث الطبيعية ومنعها والتأهب لها، التي تشمل التشاور والتعاون مع الشعوب الأصلية المعنية في وضع خطط وطنية للحد من خطر الكوارث الطبيعية (انظر المرفق).

It also notes activities aimed at promoting regional cooperation in various areas, such as trade and economic development, energy, transportation, agriculture and agro-industry, regulation of migration, banking and finances, information and telecommunications, science and new technology, customs, education, public health, environmental protection and reducing the danger of natural disasters, and in other related areas.
كما يحيط علما بالأنشطة التي تهدف إلى تعزيز التعاون الإقليمي في مختلف المجالات، مثل التجارة والتنمية الاقتصادية والطاقة والنقل والزراعة والصناعة الزراعية وتنظيم الهجرة وقطاع المصارف والمالية والمعلومات والاتصالات والعلوم والتكنولوجيا الجديدة والجمارك والتعليم والصحة العامة وحماية البيئة والحد من خطر الكوارث الطبيعية والمجالات الأخرى ذات الصلة.
