:: Giving an insured woman maternity benefit of two-thirds her salary for a maximum of ten weeks (article 26 of the Social Security Law).
- إعطاء المرأة المضمونة تعويض أمومة يوازي 3/2 راتبها ولمدة قصوى عشرة أسابيع (المادة (26) من قانون الضمان الاجتماعي).

80. Article 27 of Social Security Act No. 13 of 1980 stipulates that participants shall be paid the following lump-sum benefits, each participant who meets the requisite conditions being entitled to a single payment:
٠٨- وتنص المادة ٧٢ من قانون الضمان الاجتماعي رقم ٣١ لسنة ٠٨٩١ بأن تصرف للمشتركة المنح المقطوعة اﻵتي بيانها وتستحق كل منها دفعة واحدة متى توافرت شروطها:

The State party explains that the purpose of the Social Security Act is to guarantee a minimum income to those who have no or insufficient income of their own.
وتوضح الدولة الطرف أن الغرض من قانون الضمان الاجتماعي هو كفالــة دخل أدنــى لمـن ليس لهم دخل خاص بهــم أو لهــم دخل غير كاف.

With respect to social security, male and female workers are entitled to an older person's pension and an ill-health or incapacity pension, in accordance with the provisions of article 57 of the Social Security Act of 1990.

Under section 74 of the Social Security Act, the appropriate State bodies provide social care benefits and services to secure the basic needs of dependent children, their parents, single mothers (fathers), women during pregnancy and other citizens.

Article 1 of the Social Security Act No. 13 of 1980, for instance, provides that social security is a right of all nationals and nonnationals.

Social security costs are paid for out of the following sources specified in article 7 of the Social Security Act:

336. Article 2 of the Social Security Act provides for the payment of monthly allowances to orphans and families of prisoners and persons who are incapacitated for work.

This concern is enshrined in articles 59, 160, 162, 164, 165 and 169 of the Labour Code, and in articles 99 (4) and 105 of the Social Security Code.

Paragraph 1, article 99 of the Social Security Code provides that child benefit shall be paid to insured persons for each dependent child up to a maximum of two children.
وتنص الفقرة 1 من المادة 99 من قانون الضمان الاجتماعي على " صرف علاوات أسرية للمؤمن عن كل طفل معال في حدود طفلين " .

:: Discrimination between men and women as regards sickness and maternity benefit (article 14, paragraph (c) of the Social Security Law);

263.2 Amendment of article 9, paragraph 3 of the Social Security Law, pursuant to Law no. 128 (24 August 2010), exempting Palestinian refugee day labourers from the condition of reciprocity stipulated in the Social Security Law; they now benefit from end of service compensation under the same terms as Lebanese day labourers.
263-2 تعديل الفقرة الثالثة من المادة 9 من قانون الضمان الاجتماعي بموجب القانون رقم 128 تاريخ 24 آب/أغسطس 2010، بحيث تمّ إعفاء الأجراء اللاجئين الفلسطينيّين من شرط المعاملة بالمثل المنصوص عليه في قانون الضمان الاجتماعي، فباتوا يستفيدون من تعويض نهاية الخدمة بالشروط التي يستفيد منها الأجير اللبناني.

86. In addition, social security is guaranteed under article 29, paragraph 6, of Social Security Act No. 13 of 1984 concerning the provision of assistance in kind in the event of disasters or emergencies.
٦٨- كما يضمن الضمان الاجتماعي بالفقرة السادسة من المادة رقم ٩٢ من قانون الضمان الاجتماعي رقم ٣١ لسنة ٤٨٩١م التي تنص على تقديم المساعدات العينية في حالات الكوارث والطوارئ.

98. Article 10 of the Social Insurance Act No. 38 of 1995 provides that: " Allowances shall be payable from the first month following the decision approving the application.
