Under Article 23 of the Act on Extradition of Criminals and Other Assistance in Criminal Proceedings, in connection with the conduct of a criminal case in another state, it may be decided, in response to a request, that a person who in accordance with a sentence is imprisoned or deprived of his liberty for a criminal offence shall be sent to another state for questioning as a witness or for joint questioning.
