The major challenges specific to small island developing States reflect their special characteristics and their vulnerability to external shocks and natural disasters, as well as their limited capacity to adapt and be resilient to such vulnerabilities.
وتعكس التحديات الرئيسية المتعلقة بتلك الدول سماتها الخاصة أو مواطن ضعفها إزاء الصدمات الخارجية والكوارث الطبيعية، فضلا عن قدرتها المحدودة على التكيف مع مواطن الضعف هذه ومواجهتها.
