The offences referred to in the Convention on the Safety of United Nations and associated personnel should be included in the list of crimes covered by the statute, for such personnel was often involved in situations where national legal systems could not adequately address such offences.

As regards the progressive development of international law and its codification, the Sixth Committee, at the forty-ninth session of the General Assembly, completed the elaboration of what subsequently became the Convention on the Safety of United Nations and associated personnel, adopted by the General Assembly on 9 December 1994.
١٣١ - فيما يتعلق بالتطوير التدريجي للقانون الدولي وتدوينه، استكملت اللجنة السادسة، أثناء الدورة التاسعة واﻷربعين للجمعية العامة، إعداد ما أصبح فيما بعد " الاتفاقية المتعلقة بسلامة موظفي اﻷمم المتحدة والموظفين المرتبطين بها " ، التي اعتمدتها الجمعية العامة في ٩ كانون اﻷول/ديسمبر ١٩٩٤.
