The Law on Gender Equality in Kosovo, Law No. 2004/2 promulgated by UNMIK Regulation No. 2004/18, 7 June 2004 aims to promote and establish gender equality as a fundamental value for the democratic development of the Kosovo society, providing equal opportunities for both female and male participation in the political, economical, cultural and other fields of social life.

According to this law, gender equality implies equal participation of women and men in all fields of public and private sectors in compliance with generally accepted rules of international law, recognized international treaties, the Constitution of the Republic of Serbia and laws (Article 2) and the public bodies develop the active policy of equal opportunities in all fields of social life (Article 3).

Entity Gender Centers, in cooperation with the Ministry of Human Rights and Refugees of BiH, and on the basis of Beijing Declaration, have started the process of development of the National Action Plan (NAP), with the aim to establish obligations of all subjects and deadlines for taking specific activities aiming to eliminate discrimination of women in all spheres of social life.

85- وينص قانون إعادة التأهيل المهني للأشخاص ذوي الإعاقة وتشغيلهم أيضاً على حظر التمييز ضد الأشخاص ذوي الإعاقة، كما ينص على تعزيز مبدأ المساواة في الشمول بجميع ميادين الحياة الاجتماعية ويشجع على التشغيل في وظائف ملائمة وظروف عمل مؤاتية، فضلاً عن المساواة في الفرص والمساواة بين الجنسين (المادة 2).

31. The DPRK regards human rights as the independent rights which people ought to exercise as social beings in political, economic, cultural and every other sphere of social life and actively strives to protect and realize them.
31- تنظر جمهورية كوريا الشعبية الديمقراطية إلى حقوق الإنسان على أنها الحقوق المستقلة التي ينبغي أن يمارسها الشعب باعتباره كائناً اجتماعياً في الميادين السياسية والاقتصادية والثقافية وغيرها من ميادين الحياة الاجتماعية وتسعى بنشاط إلى حمايتها وتحقيقها.
