We recall that the effectiveness of the measures for preventing and combating money-laundering provided for in the United Nations Convention against Transnational Organized Crime and the United Nations Convention against Corruption depends on the proper administration of frozen and seized assets, and urge Member States to adopt mechanisms for the early disposal of frozen assets and other measures for preserving the value of such assets.
