Currently, the Commission on Human Rights is considering the question of a draft optional protocol to the Convention against Torture and Other Cruel, Inhuman and Degrading Treatment or Punishment. It is envisaged that the optional protocol would provide a preventive system of regular visits to places of detention.
٦٢٢ - وتعكف حاليا لجنة حقوق اﻹنسان على النظر في مشروع بروتوكول اختياري لاتفاقية مناهضة التعذيب وغيره من ضروب المعاملة أو العقوبة القاسية أو اللاإنسانية أو المهينة، ويُتوخى من البروتوكول الاختياري إنشاء نظام وقائي قائم على زيارة أماكن الاحتجاز بانتظام.
