At the same meeting, the COP, acting upon a recommendation by the SBSTA and a proposal by the President, adopted decision 2/CP.13 entitled " Reducing emissions from deforestation in developing countries: approaches to stimulate action " (FCCC/CP/2007/6/Add.1). Agenda item held in abeyance
101- بناء على توصية من الهيئة الفرعية للمشورة العلمية والتكنولوجية() واقتراح قدمه الرئيس، اعتمد مؤتمر الأطراف، خلال الجلسة نفسها، المقرر 2/م أ-13 المعنون " تخفيض الانبعاثات الناشئة عن إزالة الأحراج في البلدان النامية: نُهج لحفز العمل " (FCCC/CP/2007/6/Add.1).

In their discussions on paragraph 1 (b) (iii) of the Bali Action Plan, Parties recalled the need to build on the work being undertaken by the Subsidiary Body for Scientific and Technological Advice on " reducing emissions from deforestation in developing countries: approaches to stimulate action " .
23- وذكّرت الأطراف، في مناقشتها للفقرة 1(ب)`3` من خطة عمل بالي، بالحاجة إلى الاستناد إلى العمل الذي تضطلع به الهيئة الفرعية للمشورة العلمية والتكنولوجية فيما يخص " خفض الانبعاثات الناتجة عن إزالة الغابات في البلدان النامية: نُهج لحفز العمل " ().

Decision 2/CP.13 of the thirteenth session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change entitled " Reducing emissions from deforestation in developing countries: approaches to stimulate action " also provided, in paragraph 8 of the annex, that demonstration activities should be consistent with sustainable forest management, noting, inter alia the relevant provisions of the Forum.
أما المقرر 2/CP.13 الصادر عن الدورة الثالثة عشرة لمؤتمر الأطراف في اتفاقية الأمم المتحدة الإطارية المتعلقة بتغير المناخ والمعنون " تخفيض الانبعاثات الناجمة عن إزالة الغابات في البلدان النامية: نُهج لحفز العمل " ، فقد نص أيضا في الفقرة 8 من المرفق على أن أنشطة البيان العملي ينبغي أن تكون متسقة مع الإدارة المستدامة للغابات، مشيرا في جملة أمور إلى الأحكام ذات الصلة التي أقرها المنتدى.
