He expressed appreciation to the delegations of the Netherlands and the Russian Federation for their review, during the fourth meeting of the “Friends of 1999” held in October 1998, of the preparations for the events in The Hague and St. Petersburg.

34. Ukraine welcomed the proposal of the Netherlands and the Russian Federation to draft a programme for the celebration of the centennial of the first International Peace Conference and the closing of the United Nations Decade of International Law.
٣٤ - واسترسل قائلا إن أوكرانيا ترحب باقتراح هولندا والاتحاد الروسي إعداد برنامج للاحتفال بالذكرى المئوية للمؤتمر الدولي اﻷول للسلام واختتام عقد اﻷمم المتحدة للقانون الدولي.

56. His delegation fully supported the initiative undertaken by the Netherlands and the Russian Federation to mark the centennial of the first International Peace Conference of 1899, an event that coincided with the closure of the Decade.
