10. Upon review of the proposed budget, the Independent Audit Advisory Committee recommended the approval of the plan for the restructuring of the Investigations Division on the basis that the budget would be reduced by $955,000 despite an increased caseload (see A/63/703, para. 31).

On a related note, the General Assembly has asked the Secretary-General to submit for the Assembly's consideration, in the context of the 2012/13 support account budget, a comprehensive report on the pilot project, with a view to deciding on a restructuring of the Investigations Division (General Assembly resolution 63/287, para. 40).

16. Support account requirements of OIOS reflect proposals contained in the report of the Secretary-General on strengthening investigations (A/62/582) and are without prejudice to such decisions as the General Assembly may wish to take on the restructuring of the Investigations Division of the Office.
16 - وتجسد احتياجات حساب الدعم المتعلقة بمكتب خدمات الرقابة الداخلية المقترحات الواردة في تقرير الأمين العام عن تعزيز التحقيقات (A/62/582) ولا تمس بقرارات من قبيل تلك التي قد ترغب الجمعية العامة في اتخاذها بشأن إعادة هيكلة شعبة التحقيقات في المكتب.

The Committee therefore recommends that the functions be provided through the establishment of a general temporary assistance (General Service (Other level)) position, pending the submission of the comprehensive report on the pilot project on the restructuring of the Investigations Division to be presented in the context of the 2012/13 support account budget, as requested in General Assembly resolution 63/287.
