To ensure the confidentiality of such data and information, the Secretary-General shall establish procedures, consistent with the provisions of the Convention, governing the handling of confidential information by members of the Secretariat, members of the Legal and Technical Commission and any other person participating in any activity or programme of the Authority.
ولضمان سرية تلك البيانات والمعلومات، يقرر الأمين العام إجراءات تتسق مع أحكام الاتفاقية، وتنظم مناولة المعلومات السرية من جانب موظفي الأمانة العامة وأعضاء اللجنة القانونية والتقنية وأي شخص آخر يشارك في أي نشاط أو برنامج تنفذه السلطة.

Since 1998, the Authority has held workshops and seminars on specific issues related to deep seabed mining, with participation by internationally recognized scientists, experts, researchers and members of the Legal and Technical Commission as well as representatives of contractors, the offshore mining industry and member States.
39 - ومنذ عام 1998، عقدت السلطة حلقات عمل وحلقات دراسية بشأن مسائل محددة تتعلق بالتعدين في قاعد البحار العميقة بمشاركة شخصيات ذات شهرة دولية من العلماء والخبراء والباحثين وأعضاء اللجنة القانونية والتقنية فضلا عن ممثلي المتعاقدين، وصناعة التعدين البحري والدول الأعضاء.

In the light of these technical studies, it is intended to convene an expert group meeting involving representatives of members of the Authority, members of the Legal and Technical Commission and other relevant experts, to consider and help to prepare draft recommendations to the Council and the Assembly on the implementation by the Authority of article 82, paragraph 4, of the Convention.
وفي ضوء هاتين الدراستين التقنيتين، يُعتزم عقد اجتماع لفريق خبراء يضم ممثلين لأعضاء السلطة وأعضاء اللجنة القانونية والتقنية وخبراء آخرين ذوي صلة، للنظر والمساعدة في إعداد مشاريع توصيات إلى المجلس والجمعية بشأن تنفيذ السلطة للفقرة 4 من المادة 82 من الاتفاقية.
