103. I reiterate my commitment to ensuring the maximum coordination of United Nations efforts on Somalia, in line with my policy of integration of United Nations operations.

29. I reiterate that the support of the international community is necessary to assist the Lebanese Armed Forces in becoming an adequately equipped and capable force to eventually assume effective security responsibility over the current area of operations of UNIFIL.
29 - وأكرر تأكيد ضرورة دعم المجتمع الدولي من أجل مساعدة القوات المسلحة اللبنانية على أن تصبح قوة مجهزة ومقتدرة بشكل كاف حتى تتحمل في نهاية المطاف المسؤولية الأمنية الفعالة في منطقة عمليات قوة الأمم المتحدة الحالية.

I reiterate my call on donor countries to come forward and help the Lebanese Armed Forces meet their obligations under resolution 1701 (2006) and as concerns the extension of the Government of Lebanon's control over all of Lebanon's territory and the establishment of the democratically elected Government's monopoly on the legitimate use of force throughout Lebanon, in fulfilment of the provisions of resolution 1559 (2004).
وأكرر تأكيد دعوتي البلدان المانحة إلى المبادرة بتقديم المساعدة إلى هذه القوات بما يمكّنها من الوفاء بالتزاماتها بموجب القرار 1701 (2006) وفي ما يتعلق ببسط سيطرة الحكومة اللبنانية على كامل الإقليم اللبناني وتحقيق حصرية استخدام القوة في جميع إنحاء لبنان من قبل الحكومة المنتخبة ديمقراطيا تنفيذا لأحكام القرار 1559 (2004).

I welcome this statement and reiterate that good relations between the Sudan and Chad are the sine qua non for peace in Darfur.
